On Wednesday, October 14th, The Zonta Club of Denver, the United Nations Association & World Trade Center Denver are hosting the “2030 Sustainable Development Goals Agenda”, an interactive discussion on the Sustainable Development Goals and what this means for the U.S. , Beijing+20 and the current status of women. The program will be featuring Leslie Wright,  the International Committee Chairman of Zonta International’s UN Committee, who is coordinating efforts of the teams of volunteers active with the United Nations, UNICEF, UNFPA, ILO and UNHCR in New York, Geneva and Vienna, and with UNESCO in Paris.

The focus of the discussion will be on:

·         What are the SDG’s?

·         How will they be implemented?

·         What do these mean for the U.S.?

·         Where are we now with The Beijing Platform for Action?

·         What progress has been made in the last 20 years and what can we expect for the future?

 Join us for this inside look at the SDG’s and the Beijing+20 Platform from Zonta’s main representative to the UN.  The free event will run from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and is being held at the World Trade Center in Denver – 2650 E. 40th Ave, Denver.
